Our mentorship program aims to help our young children build confidence, career development, and provide leadership training from strong role models, mentors, and teachers

MISSION: We have established a mentorship program that starts from the first year of high school. This program is aimed at addressing the following challenges:

  • Most of our female students suffer due to the stigma associated with menstruation, which arises due to poverty and ignorance.
  • Many high school students undergo mental health problems due to depression, especially given the pressures associated with academic success that the society places on them.
  • From very early on, high school students are required to make important decisions on what classes to take in direct correlation to their future career paths.

Our mentorship program is aimed at providing guidance and counseling to address these challenges:

GET INVOLVED: We have developed the following approaches to help our students deal with the problems mentioned above:

  • We take monthly trips to primary and secondary schools in Kenya. During these trips, we provide school girls reusable menstrual pads, and offer guidance and counseling. These monthly trips cost $500 per school per month.
  • Send an email to “admin@mwangazafoundation.org” in order to volunteer and join us in the monthly trips or become a mentor.
  • We pair up individuals and groups of students with mentors who have subscribed as partners. The mentors provide guidance and counseling, along with academic supplies the students may need.

The best way to support us is to donate. Popular donations are a one-time donation of $100 and monthly donations of $50. Email us in order to donate any other supplies.
